LED Heat Dissipation

LED lamps really stand out because of their heat dissipation, and this thermal image gives you a good idea on what the real differences are with the two lighting technologies.   If we did a comparison between this LED lamp and a standard 50W Lamp it would look like the LED Lamp isn’t turned on.

On the left we have used Plastic downlight covers due to their lack of a thermal R-value to show heat output from the demonstrated lamps.  Both lamps have been covered with a plastic downlight cover for 1 hour, to see how much heat is emitted behind the luminaire and into your roof space.
